I graduated from Srishti - School of Art, Design and Technology in Dec 2014 with a major in graphic design, I found myself trying to make my work meaningful towards creating an impact. I always strive to find a good balance between technology, design, psychology and business studies.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s degree in HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) at the University of Michigan - School of Information. I hope to be able to use my previous knowledge, work experience and skill-sets along with my new insight at the School of Information and work on a career in User Experience Design.
Before starting grad school, I worked as a visual designer at Flipkart. My experience at Flipkart has taught me something new each day. I learnt how design connected with business and shaped the nature of our product to cater to the diverse masses of India.
My motto as a designer is Impact. Innovate & Design. I want to be a part of an organization that believes in making an impact on the way people see and perceive the world. Companies working in the field of Innovation aim to make life easier for people through well thought out design. The combination of my experience in Design, knowledge of computers and interest in business and entrepreneurship studies is the strength with which I hope to join a Design and Innovation Team. Designing for big business can be tricky. But what is important to me is to be part of an organization that at its core is experimental and willing to take risks. The core of building something epic is failing and learning from every mistake. I believe the best ideas are born from taking risks.
